Green Living Tips: Unclog a drain with baking soda & vinegar. Pour 3/4 cup of dry baking soda down the drain followed by 1/2 cup of vinegar then immediately plug the drain with a cloth or rubber stopper. Wait about 35 - 40- minutes then carefully pull stopper out and pour a pot of boiling water down the drain. The reaction of the baking soda and vinegar expand forcing the blockage downward which is why you have to make sure you cover the drain.
